Pre-Concert Lecture on Musical Earworms

Der Ohrwurm, in German, simply means earworm. In modern language, the term is referred to a tune that lives in one’s head. In this pre-concert lecture, Magdalena Baczewska takes the audience on an enchanted musical journey through Europe, starting in the 16th century, introducing the tunes and dance melodies that have become earworms over many centuries, into modern times.
