Don't you wish to spend all the time in the world with the person you're in love with? In this episode of Bach@Home; pianist Magdalena Baczewska (Director of the Music Performance Program and member of Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Columbia University) discusses Debussy's beloved prelude "La fille au cheveux de lin" ["The Girl with the Flaxen Hair"]. Debussy famously said "You mere have to listen. Pleasure is the law." He makes us fall in love with "The Girl" whom he portrays bathing in delightful harmonies. Debussy's Preludes, published in 1910 are a tribute to J. S. Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier.
